1. Thomas Bodstrom
In his youth, Thomas Bodstrom joined as a football player in Allmänna Idrottsklubben (AIK ) for 3 years from 1987-1989. Then in 1990 he finished his bachelor degree in Law and choose to join the Lawyers without Borders in 1999. His political career started when he elected as a Minister of Justice from 2000 to 2006.
2. Oleg Blokhin
He had a golden career in football where he was a top goal scorer in the history of Soviet League with total 211 goals. He played for Dynamo Kyiv and Soviet Union National Team. His political career starts when in 1998 he became a Verkhovna Rada or Supreme Council of Ukraine. In 2002, He is re-elected as Verkhovna Rada.
3. Gianni Rivera
Giovanni Rivera or also known as Gianni Rivera is an Italian football player. He played as a midfielder for Alessandria in 1959-1960 and Milan in 1960-1979. In 1986 he went into Politics and currently a member of European Parliament for the democratic party, Uniti nell’Ulivo party.
Pele starts his football career at the age of 15 years old. One year later he joined Brazil National Football Team. He won three FIFA World Cup in 1958, 1962, and 1970. He played as a forward. He started his political career in 1994 when he became part of UNESCO’s Goodwill Ambassador. In 1995, he elected as Extraordinary Minister for Sport.
5. George Weah
He started his football career in Europe in 1988 when he joined Monaco. In 1992 he moved to Paris St. Germain and awarded as top scorer of the 1994-1995 UEFA Champions League. He moved to several clubs such as Milan, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Marseille but in 2003 he ended his career with Al Jazira club. His political career was not smooth as he questioned for his lack of education and citizenship issues. Then he took a degree in business administration at Devry University Miami. After failed several times in a Presidential election, Last year ( in 2017 ) he won the election as the President of Liberia.
